Monthly Newsletter May 2010 Dear Preschool Families, I can hardly believe that the school year is almost over. I have had so much fun getting to know your children and families. I am sad to see the older kids leave and go off to Kindergarten, but I am confident that they built a solid foundation here and will do great! I look forward to seeing the younger kids again next fall and continue their journey into preparing for their future education. After all the ABC’s, 123’s, and countless projects and worksheets the kids have left such an impression on my heart and will forever be remembered. I want to thank you, the families for your help, feedback and support throughout the year, I thank you for that! I also want to thank all the moms that helped drive for our field trip!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Book orders are due right away so I can make sure you will get your books before school is over, online ordering will be available Friday April 30th-Tues. May 4th. You can order online or send in sheets back to school. Please remember no cash and write checks to scholastic. www.scholastic.com/bookclubs User Name: BrighterBeginnings Password: Preschool The first week in May I plan on taking the kids on one last field trip to the nearby park/school playground for part of our class. We will be walking (weather permitting) so PLEASE have them wear comfortable shoes and socks. We will also be going on a nature walk-we will be going across from preschool, there is a nice path that leads a SAFE distance from the river, and we will do some exploring! PLEASE have your child wear comfortable walking shoes and socks. Graduation pictures are for BLUE/RED classes. Brian Grove of Allen Ross Photography (Cheyenne who is in the red class) her dad will be coming to school to take preschool graduation pictures. There is a sample at school of what the composite looks like, comes with a class and individual picture in a nice frame. Or you can order individual pictures as well. If you choose to order please have envelope back by Friday, May 7th the day of pictures. GIRLS-Please do not have your little girl in a ponytail or hair up this day, as they will be wearing a graduation hat. Thanks! Graduation is set for May 19th at 6:00 pm. This is for the BLUE & RED classes only. You may invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. if you wish, just please know that I will only have 2 chairs per child due to limited space. Please have the kids here at 5:45. Graduation will be followed by a social hour with root beer floats!! (Kids will be wearing a graduation hat, so please DO NOT have a ponytail in your girls’ hair). Thank you! ***One last thing, I have a TON of pictures from the entire year that I have edited and sorted into classes. You can purchase a CD for $20.00 with all the pictures from this year. I wish I could just put all the pictures on the website and I am SO sorry I fell behind on getting pictures posted (still learning how to juggle my time as new mommy!!) but there are hundreds and just not enough room/time! I would like to apologize for not posting as many as I should have this, but you can get the CD This way you can go and print out any that you like! If you are interested there is a sign up sheet posted at school or you can call/text/email and let me know you want a copy by May 12th. Pajama Day-have kids come dressed in their pajamas for a fun pajama party!! For those of you enrolled in Summer Camp, just a reminder that it starts June 1st at 10:00-12:00. Tuition is due the first day of $200.00 Again, thank you for the great year and I will miss those of you leaving dearly, and looking forward to seeing familiar faces next fall! (I will send out information for next fall in mid August.) For those of you in summer camp I will see you then!!
